How do I return an item?
Instructions for processing returns:
VOLUNTARY MERCHANDISE RETURNS:
You may return most NEW, UNOPENED, and UNUSED items (see conditions/exclusions below) purchased at RC Hobby Explosion within 14 days of receipt for a refund. All voluntary returns will be assessed a 10% restocking fee. All refunds are for the cost of the product only. Shipping and handling expenses are non-refundable. If a Free Shipping promotion was applied at purchase, actual shipping costs will also be deducted (not to exceed 10% of the product cost) from the refund.
The following conditions and exclusions apply to all voluntary returns:
DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE (i.e. items covered under a manufacturer’s warranty):
The manufacturers we distribute for develop products of the highest craftsmanship and quality in the R/C industry. Occasionally, however, a defect may pass through the manufacturer's quality control system. All products purchased through RC Hobby Explosion have a manufacturer’s warranty protecting the buyer against defects. Warranty length and terms may vary by manufacturer. If your product appears to be defective, the manufacturer requires that you contact them directly for technical and warranty assistance. A retailer such as RC Hobby Explosion cannot make warranty rulings or determine if your warranty claim is valid. Crash damage and damage incurred due to misuse, accidental or otherwise, is not covered under any warranty. If you cannot locate the manufacturer’s contact information within the product’s documentation, please feel free to contact RC Hobby Explosion and we will provide this information.
IMPORTANT NOTE: RC Hobby Explosion does not offer any warranty, express or implied, for ANY product sold on our website. The R/C industry operates under certain policies and procedures. Defective items cannot be returned to the retailer as one might return a defective coffee maker to Wal-Mart. The R/C industry’s policies on returns are designed to protect the consumer and the retailer by putting the responsibility in the hands of the company who made the product. If you do not agree with this industry’s policies, do not make a purchase with our store. These policies cannot be waived under any circumstance.
DAMAGED IN TRANSIT RETURNS:
If you received an order that was damaged in shipping, please contact customer service at 866-729-4940 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org within 6 hours of delivery. It is imperative that we be contacted immediately. Do not return the item to RC Hobby Explosion as the shipping carrier must have the opportunity to establish a claim and, possibly, inspect the damaged carton. If the shipping carrier cannot verify that there is a covered loss under the transit insurance because an item has been returned to RC Hobby Explosion, or its condition of receipt has been compromised, RC Hobby Explosion reserves the right to deduct a loss percentage up to and including the full purchase price of the product.
DO NOT REFUSE DELIVERY OF ANY ORDER! Accept the order and contact the returns department. There is a minimum 20% restocking fee for all refused or returned deliveries, which will be deducted from your refund. PLEASE NOTE THAT FAILURE TO RETRIEVE AN ITEM HELD BY THE CARRIER ALSO CONSTITUTES REFUSAL OF DELIVERY AS UNCLAIMED/UNDELIVERED ITEMS ARE OFTEN RETURNED TO RC HOBBY EXPLOSION, RESULTING IN ADDITIONAL FREIGHT CHARGES THAT WILL BE BILLED TO THE CUSTOMER.
